The only thing I’d remove would be the high performance tyres, as wet weather performance will be compromised with them, as well as increasing noise and perhaps decreasing comfort somewhat. Absolutely keep the yellow stitching as it looks so much better than the silver imho.

That being said, this GT C is pretty much configured like my GT R. Are you trying to tempt me? lol

I do like the yellow stitching ... and YES take it !! Lol

The High End Burmester system is worth every penny.

I think the Red Pepper/Black interior is more interesting with a gray exterior but given the choice between yellow and silver stitching I would go with silver and order matching silver seat belts. Yellow stitching looks better on a black or yellow exterior.

I don't have the Distronic option and don't miss it but I don't do a lot of highway driving.

I have the Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires on my GT3 and my GTS' MPSS tires are way more comfortable and appropriate for daily driving. The Cup 2 tires give a ton of road feedback which is appropriate for track and less so for daily driving and potholes are bone-jarring. Since this GTC is not intended for track use, I would skip the Cup 2 option.
You all are killing me ...I love cup 2 tires... but makes sense.. bye bye...

Maybe I should remove the exterior carbon... it is getting pricey..

You all think high end burmester is worth it?

Current iteration below.,.. there are only 40 GTC coupes coming outside the Edition 50's... more scarce than a GTR

^Actually, yellow stitching will work on an all black interior, I like your taste.

Tough call between exterior Carbon Fiber and High End Burmester. I'm no audiophile but the High End system is pretty sweet.

The future buyer will appreciate you trying to keep the options sensible. For a customer ordered car, the sky is the limit.

Yea I think I like being sub $160k... distronic added, dropped the exterior CF and added the exterior night pkg..

They were trying to get me to do matte grey here.. lol.. if I listen to everyone this car will be $180k and down 27hp/ some aero and a yellow knob to the GTR

I have the exterior night package. It adds some nice contrasting elements.

I looked at the 2018 brochure . It states Pano Roof is standard on the GTC.

The GTC is not a track ready car. The C stands for Comfort . It is an ultra luxurious sporty vehicle.

Most buyers who don’t special order want fewer options. That way they feel they got a bargain on the price. All ordering the car, check every box.

I actually thought GTC stood for Gran Turismo Corsa (Racing)...I very much doubt C stands for "comfort"

Its not comfort thats for sure but from what Ive checked, it was mistakenly published as standing for both Coupe and Convertible.

And its not going to be any more luxurious IMHO than the GTS which is definitely not "ultra" luxurious. Its definitely got a nice cabin but its more sporty in nature than even my C63S which feels more luxurious.

Then why all the minut tweaking. Just make a GTR and call it a day. The 27hp difference doesn’t make much sense if the suspensions are the same. just order a fully loaded GTR . Done

Suspensions not the same at all Just the body work. Antiroll bars thicker, stiffer shock setups and the trick traction control.

Yup. When you look at ACV of a GTR and a GTC coupe in 24 months, similarly priced I believe it will be about 25-30k in favor of GTR. It’s just more purpose built.

GTS is Sport, GTC is Competition, GTR is Race according to many sources.

Mb residual on a GTC is 5% higher than a gtr. Gtr has the better track suspension.. Aero etc... If you plan on doing track events, get a gtr. Otherwise a GTC will be just fine.. Had the wider body, some aero... rear steer, 550 hp etc..

C is not for comfort... If your a Porsche person..

Carrera = amg gt
Carrara S = gts
Carrera gts = amg gtc
Gt3= Gtr
GT3RS = gtr black???... Maybe?

The GTS is not like the Carrera S. The Carrera S has 410hp does 0-60 in 4.4sec. Power/torque isn’t put down until much higher RPM.

Indeed - the GT range has got a little crowded, so more important than ever to be a little careful crossing the price boundaries for stock models.

Yes this makes sense... in regards to model staging.

And for thecutter64 recheck your numbers as the Carrera S has 420 hp and is turbo charged and makes its power earlier than the 991.1 iteration which you may have been referring to which was normally aspirated and needed higher revs. And almost every test has the C-S and C4S running mid 3's in the zero to 60 runs coupled with some rather impressive Ring times for "only" 420 hp (991.2 versions)

Here is just one test of the C2S (991.2) not too shabby.

C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 3.1 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 7.5 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 12.9 sec
Zero to 150 mph: 18.5 sec
Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 3.9 sec
Top gear, 30-50 mph: 2.4 sec
Top gear, 50-70 mph: 2.4 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 11.4 sec @ 123 mph
Top speed (drag limited, mfr's claim): 190 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 142 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 1.04 g

Yea makes sense.. most GTR's are over $180k, some easily into the $190's (near 200k)... GTC is a good choice for $40k less if you arent running competitive track events... if its only like $10-20k less, it'd make most people pause

GTRs can get pricey. It's natural competitor is the new GT3 both in performance and price point. Will be interesting to see more comparison reviews between the two.

I've owned a C2S and would rather drive my 18 AMG GTS. It's more special.

I find the reviews all self serving. All GTR articles extol it’s great driveability and smooth ride. It’s a frigging race car with stiff suspension and low seats!

The same articles spit on the GT and GTS. They make those cars sound like clunkers driven around by old ladies. A few short months ago, those cars were the cats meow.

Really?
