And here I just emailed the local MB dealer and asked if they had a GTR allotment. They sure are pretty, I would like one please.
(OK, it was a bit more intensive than that.. ).

beautiful!!! how long was the process before delivery?
After almost 4 months of sitting at the VPC, I finally got the "you're car is here" call last Thu and of course I was out of town until Friday night. A sleepless Friday and Saturday morning could not come fast enough. This was the dealer's first GTR and when I arrived there was a swarm of people surrounding the car - I couldn't even see the car through the crowd. I sat back for a few minutes and let the crowd slowly disperse. I almost ordered Green but went with Magno Grey and I was a bit nervous I had made the wrong choice. At first glimpse of the car I knew I had made the right decision - the car is much more stunning in person. Took her for a quick test drive, filled up the tank, came back and signed the paperwork and a nice drive back up to WLA with about 500 thumbs up from onlookers. Will post more impressions later but this thing is a beast, even without hammering on it during the break in. No doubt it makes more power than what MBZ claims. The long nose definitely takes a little getting used to, especially compared to my 911. I wish they offered a front nose lift option (I'll see if I can add one), but for the price it's hard to beat what you get here. Can't wait to hit the canyons after I wrap the front end. Quick shout out to David G. and David K. at the House of Imports for a great experience! Can't blame the dealer for the long wait at the VPC. MBUSA is offering all GTR owners who originally ordered the car 2 years of free maintenance due to the long wait time. I gladly accepted.
