Beast from Green Hell
The OKC dealership almost had a deal fall through because the AMG GT R that just arrived was ordered without blind spot protection. This is the little red lights in the mirrors. And the list price for the car was $191,000.00. It just shows how little quality control a dealership can exhibit on such an expensive car. The car itself is wide and green. In person, the car is amazing.
The good news for OKC is the customer went ahead with the purchase anyway.
This beast from green hell 'only' has 577 HP or so, what's the attraction? Perhaps the engineering that is really unbelievable.
The new ZR1 has 755HP and 700 ft for $120,000 but probably can't put the power down.
Just some random thoughts guys, the amazing thing is to see the GTR, a must see!!

The new ZR1 has 750HP and 680lb ft for $120,000, worth waiting for that beast?

I am honestly wondering if they will sunset the current model and shift their efforts and dollars to the mid engine version that may finally make its debut early next year.
I am/was a Corvette addict....many model/years have been in my garage over the years. So I am looking forward to seeing what the mid engine version will really do.
Best regards
Jerry

I wonder if Chevrolet/Corvette will be able to get all of the power to the ground better than they are now. What they are doing now isn’t working as well as it needs to.
IN MY EXPERIENCE.........MB wih the GTR has improved considerably over the GTR.

Woops, did not mean to stir things up;posting about ZR1 is always a mistake, I wouldn't own a Corvette and love the Mercedes I have (number 5).
Sorry to sound negative about the Beast from Green Hell, such an amazing car to see in person.

You need a proper education. You made a blatantly stupid post and can't understand it.
You should also watch the Internet tough guy overtones, that shows what type of childish mentality you have.
When you have the means to understand the significance of these cars you won't need to post such crap.

I think with a simple tune you can get this engine up over 600hp easy. But I'm willing to bet it would make the car slower around a track or have at the least have zero impact in track times. If you want a fast stoplight to stoplight car, look elsewhere.

I believe I’ve read that the stated 577 hp is underrated since on the dyno you’re getting close to that at the wheels, so you’re probably at or perhaps somewhat slightly over 600 hp crank.

You know I've been following this thread from my phone, so it didn't seem that interesting. Today I looked at it from my monitor at work. Finally, I noticed that the OPs avatar had 3 breasts. Not 2, but 3!
So maybe he just has different taste than the rest of us. Personally, I like 2 *****.
