Wanted to ask for folks who run > 2.5 camber for the fronts, how do you get to that camber? My shop used the the shim that pushes the bolt to the most direction but still were only able to get 2.5.

I run cup2 ZP at track but can see that the outer edge of the fronts are not wearing. Do you have to lower the fronts a bit to get to that camber setting with the shim?

I ran -2.5 camber F and R along with the ZPs and I always managed to use all of the tyre up to the small arrows on the tyre upper sidewall which shows the limit you should use. My car was not lowered btw.

U might want to get the alignment checked. I also ran OEM toe and caster.

I tried to work around the same issue. If there is a solution it might have to come from the aftermarket. My local AMG tech said the only way to increase negative camber past -2.5 is to lower the car.

I sit on Renntech CAS and lowered the front about 3/4 inches. Only increased negative camber to - 2.65 to -2.7 degrees.

To maximize the contact patch I lowered the tire psi to 35lbs front, 33lbs rear hot. Seems I am getting full tread wear after the change. Keep in mind this is with a different tire, not the MPSC ZP you are running.

If someone cracked the code and achieved more camber I’d love to hear about it too.

Thanks Bish. I ran OEM toe and caster as well, my current alignment is front at 2.5 and rear at 2.4 so very similar to yours. I run 32-33 PSI hot with the ZP. Rear are wearing perfectly fine, but fronts can use another 2-3 mm of the outer edge to get to the limit and to reduce the wear on inner patch.. I primarily on Laguna Seca, Sonoma Raceway and Thunderhill (All Norcal local tracks).

Will check my alignment one more time and see, does anyone know how to get the spanner wrench to lower the GTR coilovers? It doesn't come with the car seems..

I just rechecked my alignment. The previous numbers I had stated in a different thread were from my old car.
These are the setting on the PRO.

LF = -2.6 T=0.01
RF= -2.7 T=0.01
LR = -2.2 T=0.05
RR= -2.3 T=0.06

So my shop was able to adjust past 2.5. I know they said to try this first before going further.

Envy that you have a pro - I think pro might come with a greater range of the adjustment given it's a more dedicated coilover system. I just need to figure out how the stock GTR coilover can be lowered

With a set of the MB shims you should be able to go past -2.5 I believe the shop that did mine said they can do -2.7 with what i supplied them but i found -2.5F to be the perfect setup for my particular car.

I used a set of the MBShims as well, the MB shims cannot be staggered like the porsche ones, instead it's choosing the right offset for your choice. We chose the offset which brings the alignment bolt to the most extreme for maximizing camber but still got only 2.5.. The shop says if I want to get anything more I'd have to lower the car.

This is what I was told on my Pro as well.

I need to start playing with the suspension outside of just the knobs that affect rebound.

Hello guys. Do any of you have experience with Antigravity Batteries for the AMG GTR? I know the Porsche crowd use them as a weight saving mod.

Have not used them but if you are looking for more track performance, I would start with the ZP tires.

They might be available in Europe as I saw one of the Tikt GTRs with those tires on instagram. I have not looked into it though.

I did use ZP tires on a track day back in June. The rears delaminated on the first track day. Not fun.

Right rear ZP

Left rear ZP

Tire rack has the R's listed in what looks like sizes for a GT3 RS & GT2.
Christ! They are expensive! Also thought I read somewhere their wear rate is quite high.

Yeah, that was weird. Looks like you tire is scrubbing. As I don't see the tell tale signs of hard use or high temps.

Went back to the regular cup2 this Saturday. No issues. Most of the guys with Porsche's run the antigravity battery to save weight. 40 to 50 pound weight saving according to them.

Took a look at the OEM battery. Lithium ion same as the antigravity. It says 10kg/22lbs. Seems pretty light to me. I’ll stick with OEM.

Ballpark guess on what the cost would be in our sizes, fronts ~ $750 each and rears ~$850 each.

Same thing happened to me with my ZPs at Area 27 after one day - although it was my fronts.

Had to really dial back the traction control knob as well as dial in the camber. Also playing with the rebound helped.

Did you pay for a heat cycle on them?

The delamination of the ZPs does not look normal, any chance those tires are > 3 years old on manufacturing time?
