Hard track use upgrades

I seem to have a similar problem, after every track day I saw some fluid just like your pics showed which settled in the "seam" area of the reservoir. My brake pedal was fine and the fluid level didnt drop either. Good to know that you got yours replaced at the dealer, I'll probably pay them a visit too then.

2019 Nissan GT-R is much more comfortable on the street as a daily driver, with a ton more storage room. My GT-S has the track/dynamic pack so stiffer suspension than stock, and while I don't mind it, it is quite a bit stiffer on bumpy streets than the Nissan. I store both for the winter, so no idea on how they would do. I spoke to my GT-R tech, and he said that his other clients who have snow tires on the Nissan find it just great in the winter. By GT-S is a much better track car as the 2019 Nissan's suspension has just been softened too much from that on my previous 2009 GT-R, which was great on track with just some stiffer sway bars and R compounds. I will either upgrade the Nissan's suspension for track use or sell it, and likely buy a new Z06.

First of all it’s great to read about everyone’s experiences with these cars on track! Right now I’m building an AMG GTS for time attack and a lot of the stuff in this thread is really helpful. I’ve been running time attack for around 5 years now so I’ve got a lot of experience with setting up a car for competition, but this year will be my first season running this car been great to learn about what works on this platform. I’m working with KW on this build and for those of you interested, you can get essentially the same suspension setup as the GT4 cars with their competition 2 way setup. They’re not something you can just buy off the shelf and you do have to get them made through their competition department, but it’s definitely a solid idea for those of you who are serious about tracking these cars. I’m also going to be running the Verkline tubular subframe. There’s lots of other stuff in the works for this car so I’ll save that for the build thread on it. I’ll be running it with Superlap Battle at COTA next month though as a first shakedown for the car so what kind of lap times are everyone seeing at that track?

Suspension component grease
Yesterday when I was working on changing the sway bar stiffness of my GTR Pro, I noticed a large amount of grease over pretty much all the links/bolts/joints
Does anyone know what kind of grease are those? Wanted to see if I can stock some for servicing the suspension bits.

Hi,
This is just a preservative wax that was applied to all steel parts at the factory.
Checked WIS. Cannot find any "Special" MB Wax.
Think any good preservative wax will do the trick.
Best regards
Stenzel

Set a 2:23.428 at COTA this past weekend with my GTS at Super Lap Battle! It was my first time driving the car on track and my first time driving COTA. The car is on Yokohama A052’s which are a 200tw. 285 rear 265 front. The car is on stock suspension with stock power with the only mods being a custom APR front splitter, custom air dam, APR wing, and a Verkline subframe. Also running Pagid racing brake pads on steel rotors with Ansix auto brake ducts. There’s lots of mods lined up for the car, and the goal for next year is the high to mid teens for sure. Doing the majority of the Gridlife time attack season with the car too, and it should be a lot faster than what it is right now by this spring.

Are you swapping your wheels out to run the slicks or are you trailering it?
