My drivers seat is loose/rocks back and forth sideways, it is quite irritating. Especially as I had this issue addressed last year and it came back a couple thousand kms later. They had the car all day and from what I gathered it took a bit to do, but it didn't resolve it after all.

I did some searches on here and couldn't find a definitive thread about this exact problem although it's been mentioned in other topic threads, by myself also.
Anybody have this happen? And then repaired? And it again returned?
I'm going to discuss with MB when I do my next oil change in June.

Have not heard of this problem, but this is a serious safety issue and should be addressed immediately. Safety issues are to be addressed immediately by dealer without the necessity of an appointment.

To clarify, it's a very slight but persistent issue. Like a slight wiggle.

Still feel the same way. Particularly if this is a repeat problem. Be safe.

Mercedes corrected this problem for me. Something about the clips holding the seat in.

Since this is a sports car it has to be a little irritating.

Like they say the best or nothing!

good luck hopefully it gets resolved this time around.

I have been noticing some clicks in the seat too and was wondering what it is. Will have to take it to the dealer to check it out.

Seat rocking
I had the same issue. The dealer solved it. It hasn't come back so far. The service mechanic did manage to damage my lower rocker panel removing the seat from the car. Also, the steering wheel had to be removed to get the seat out. . When I picked up my car, the steering wheel was not centered. Had to return to the dealership to get that corrected. Never ending problems dealing with dealerships work.

Update
just got my car back from the dealer this afternoon...
2nd time around on this issue
This time, after trying to put in another new cushion it still wiggled, so they replaced the entire seat frame.
fingers crossed
I really like this car, and the dealership I go to is great

I have this same issue. The dealer I go to has a super enthusiastic head tech here and he went about fabricating a fix. It has sadly only lasted about 300kms so next time it goes back in I'll have them review further. Can you let me know in a month how it's tracking Gordon??

Cheers

Sad that a dealer tech has to fabricate a fix, that did not work, on a car that is the flagship of the brand.

hi, yes I'll let u know how it goes. When they did the first fix last year it lasted 1k-2k km before happening again.
interesting to note, I really notice it when I am driving up through the parkade floors where I live. Smooth concrete. I guess it amplifies it.

It came back very quickly. I suspect it is related to how I have the seat positioned... i have it raised somewhat high, not maxed out by any means, but off the floor.
I weigh 170 pounds, 5'11
Seems to be a design flaw with the structuring that holds the cushion in place??
it is very slightly wiggly and clicks
I really notice it in underground parking as I go up the floors and around the corners
maybe because I drive in sport plus as soon as I leave my building 100% of the time
I don't know
i guess I will have to talk to the dealership again

Mine does the same thing. It has a little give left and right. I chalk it up to a tall slim seat that has my weight going against it in turns. I've definitely noticed what you're talking about though.

My GTS had the same problem. Dealer Identified the issue immediately and replaced the seat frame. Problem solved

Loose seat
Anybody have a suggestion for me how to proceed?
I'm 3 years in with this car and it's like sitting on a loose plastic bucket..
they've tried replacing the cushions twice and seat frame once.
My car is back at the dealership today on a different issue but I mentioned this ..
I'm really tired of it
what do I say?

Tell them youre gojng to report the issue to the NHTSA as a safety issue. See if that gets them to fix it. First though I’d try another dealership.

My AMG GTS has a very slight wiggle in the driver's seat. Another fellow AMG GTS owner had the same issue and says a "redesigned clip" solves the issue. I've since contacted my MB dealer service tech to try and order this redesigned clip to see if it alleviates the issue. It's been a few weeks so I will need to check if the part has been identified. If the fix works, I will try and locate a part number.

Thank you
So far since the beginning they have done two cushions, and just recently replaced the entire seat frame with an updated one. So they are trying and always treat me really well there, just this one issue.
if you can get that part number that’d be great.
