Any dry lap times?
The Curbstone events are certainly well organized but there were, IMHO, too many cars on track which was further complicated by the vast difference in the speed levels of cars. E.g..one guy was out there in a Mini Countryman and there were even two Fiat 500s. Plus the track was shared with a BMW Experience group who were circulating slowly. As a result it was next to impossible to get a clean lap in so my
lap times were all over the place. Best I could do on the day was a 2:47 with a good 3/4 seconds lost due to traffic.
The lap times printout below from one of the sessions was representative of the day. the first lap is the out lap,Lap 2 and 3 had a lot of traffic while lap 4 had a yellow sector. Lap 5 was pretty clear but stiill not 100%.

looks like a bit bit of a mission to dodge all those cars.
How’s you emotional commitment to the car at the moment ? Are you in love with it yet ?

Thanks, not worth the premium price then. I've only ever visited Spa with premium UK TDOs, always wandered how some of the european outfits compared. I'd have thought the GTR was capable of sub 2:40 at Spa, not taken mine there yet!

No, I don't think Curbstone are worth the premium. I have had better track days at Spa with other groups, especially PistenClub.
The GTR is certainly capable of sub 2:40 at Spa, but not with me at the wheel. My talent runs out at around around 2:43'ish. To do a sub 2:40, you would have to be really, really on it and get a perfect clear lap. FYI, the best a Mclaren 670LT could do on the day was 2:39.
A friend of mine runs 2:34 in his 675LT but that is a completely clear lap, which is in my opinion about as quick as an amateur can take that car. I think it would be really impressive to get the GTR within 3-4 seconds of that.
Always great to see a GTR being used properly, I swear I'm the only one in the UK sometimes

Been to three track days now with the GTR since I got it. Each time I have been the only MB/AMG at all events. But there are always a zillion PCars.
Folding my 6-2 frame into a 924s ITR car... wasn't pretty lol
ok so I know I for one would love to see that Of course we would want VIDEO lol
Have fun. be safe guys Unfortunately I think my track days are done... and to think I spent a bloody fortune on new nomex/driving suit. helmet, shoes etc.... before the last race

I will be back in my home country in October so won't have a chance to get there. Instead, I hope to get there on Sept 14th with the Pistenclub. But I won't be taking my GTR because I plan to take my new GT3.2 RS which arrives this week.

My phone ran out of juice for one of the sessions so could not use my lap timer app. After going thru the Gopro footage of the session, I found a lap of 2:45. My friend who is a very, very good driver was driving my GT3, and who passes me in the video, did a 2:40 in the same session.
Beautiful car and awesome footage! I would love to go drive at Spa one day. Hope your next track day has less traffic so you can really set a good time!
