Maximum safe torque

Hi All - any idea what the maximum (relatively) safe torque is on the GT? I upgraded turbos and am at 550wtq, 625whp and considering turning it up some. Obviously, anything over stock adds risk, but I wanted to see what consensus was on what the tranny will endure. On my C63s I was at 725/725 with no issues, but I’ve heard the GT’s transmission is much more fragile.

FYI - I never track it, and never ever launch it. Just some occasional spirited backroad driving.

Yes thats true. The Getrag double clutch is not so stable like the 7 gear MCT in C63.

What i see it holds max. 630wtq. I would not go for more with stock gearbox. If you do that and the gearbox feel the clutch slipping it will open and run in limp mode.

I feel pretty safe at 650whp and 555wtq. I asked Eurocharged to keep it dialed back and well into the safe range. ....for the one time a month I go past 5000rpm. So far so good!

along the same Vane, anyone have experience with ECU/TCU upgrdes to just get the car shifting and performing a bit faster/better - not substantive changes with the turbos and HP increases per-se....
is remapping the ECU/TCU worth it and does it contravene the warranty?

congrats on the upgrade. Have you done any real world tests to see the performance improvements. I assume 0-60 is probably not much improved and maybe even more due to traction issues but I would expect the 1/4 mile to down in the mid tens and 60-130 to be supercar like.
