brake pad recommendation?

I just bought a 2016 AMG GT S with steel brakes and am looking to track the car every couple of months (at PBIR).
Besides changing the brake fluid to Castrol SFR, what other recommendations?
Recommendation for pads? Are the stock pads good enough if > 50% for track use?
I will probably need stability control in early stages, but i read elsewhere to use Race mode and turn ESC off to prevent excessive rear brake wear.
My track experience: tracked a sport bike (R1) 10 years ago for several years, only been on the track once with a car (SLK350).
Is extra brake cooling recommended? If so, what are the current options? (the renntech brake cooling option is more than I'm willing to spend right now).

Congrats on the car!

Definitely change the brake fluid. SRF or Endless 650 or Motul will work. Keep an eye on your brake pads as you should be changing them once they get below 50%. Some may argue with me but once they get too low the heat transfer to the Brake calipers will kill the piston seals. I also used titanium backing plates for my brakes too. Anything you can do for brake cooling will only help be it ducts etc. Running in race mode will ensure the collision prevention sensor is turned off as well as save your rear brakes. Last but not least check and continuously monitor your tire temperatures. Also doesn’t hurt to run Sport Cup 2 tires 😎

where do you buy the titanium backing plates? Brand/model number?

what pads do you run? Model number?

"monitor your tire temperatures" how? Brand of IR temp reader? What am i looking for? What do i do with the info?

brand of cooling ducts recommended? How long to install?

Thank you!

I use factory pads so far...

you can use an IR temp, and some cars actually display tire temp on the dash... also pressures depend on the tires but usually around 32-36 tire dependant...

so far TIKT is the way to go but I haven’t done anything other than cool down laps and never engage the parking brake in the pits

Thank you!
see above for my answers between your questions

you will definitely benefit from brake cooling ducts if you are on steel brakes. I use Tikt so I cannot comment on the renntech ducts but the Tikt ones work wonders.

HI!
I see your dust boots is too bad, but if you can with me check the front and rear caliper piston size, I can sell you the dust boots (front is heat-resistant dust boots, and they can bear to 300 °C),
