I'm currently looking for a daily driver, so any in put would be appreciated.
The main focus would be toque, power, and ride comfort, cabin noise.
Hopefully a two door, but m5 would be okay.
My current elections are M5, M8C, Amg GTR, New vantage, the upcoming am gt replacement
any additional suggestions would be appreciated.
I currently have a huracan on order for weekend use, but the comfort on that isn't too bad.

I think DD is different for everyone depending on their needs and situation. How many miles of day do you drive, how are the roads in your area, how is traffic, weather, etc.? Do you need to carry anyone or anything? What is tolerance to rough ride, tire noise, stiff seating, etc.?

GTR will make you go WOW during your whole commute, you wont ever have a dull moment. The M5 will wow you when needed and let you enjoy the times when you dont need to be wowed.
But what do I know. LOL. I switch my DD from the wifes G63 and the GL63 which is ultra smooth compared to the other cars.
But I put on 85 miles minimum per day 6 days a week.

I am convinced that my car was used for new employee training day on the line. It needs an exorcism performed on it. With that being said, I do have a GT3 on order so have faith in Porsche brand and quality. Here are a few of the low points.
- Nine open recalls when I had the first service because of age, not mileage. Entire driveline including front, rear diffs as well as motor had to be pulled out. Front diff was replaced along with electronic motor mounts.
- The keyless entry and automatic door handles are a joke. I can count on one hand how many times they have actually worked. Almost took my finger tip off once.
- If there is rain in the forecast, the rotors start rusting up. I have never had a car this bad on brake dust. I can wash the car, clean the wheels and move it 30 feet into the garage and have to clean the wheels again from the rust.
- Way too many electrical gremlins. Passenger seat belt warnings going off when nobody or anything is in the seat. Collision warnings when driving down the highway with nobody in sight. Low key fob battery warning only to replace the battery and still get the warning. Dealer even replaced the battery as well and on the way home, another warning. Most of the time, half the tiles on the center screen don't load so your information icons are blank. I walked out in the garage one day and the stereo was on. The car had not been driven in a couple of weeks and key was inside the house. This has happened several times. Several speakers have had to be replaced
- Car has more interior rattles than my F250 truck
- No remote start. Porsche believes it a safety issue
- You can't open the door when the car is in park and running. You pull the handle once, you get a message to pull it a second time to open the door.

I will say that if you want power, torque and ride comfort, the M5 is the way to go. However, I have owned many 911s, including C2S, Turbo, GTS and a couple of GT3 RS. Porsche make amazing cars, some of the best in the world IMO. Maybe you should test drive both and decide for yourself.

I had a 2020 m5 competition and when those turbos kick in, that thing is stupid fast for how big it is. It felt faster than my 991.1 turbo s on the highway. That might be the best full sized daily driver out there.
my wife has a 2020 e63 wagon with full carbon interior. The MB is much nicer inside, but the bmw takes it in performance.

No soul. No personality. Cheap interior (gloss plastic), thin leather. 40% of the gauges are obscured by the steering wheel?! Come on, VW!
