new 2019 GTC Coupe

Hi everyone. Recently got divorced so I traded my c63s in for a gtc coupe. For my c63s i did the differential service at 1700 miles but for the gtc the dealer removed the break in service sticker from the windshield and I cant find anything on it in the handbook. Did you guys still get the rear differential service done after 1700 miles?

Also i noticed the car has sat at the dealer for about 4 month before I purchased it. During the test drive I noticed it said Service A due in 2xx days but after driving it for 500 miles it turned to service A due in 9500 miles. Should I do a oil change as well along with the rear differential change or is this too excessive?

I got the secondary cats and filters done 3 days after delivery. Will get tune and PS4S in the rear after breaking it in some more.

Hello!

Great Car! Enjoy! No rear diff service needed on these as it’s all part of the transmission in this car.

Re the outstanding service ask your local dealer to reset the car. It should have been reset when the car was PDI’d and the handoff was performed.

Im wanting to remove my secondaries as well but I would like to know what it sounds like. Any way to send me a sound clip or post one at idle in comfort and sport plus?

Btw where are you located? I’m in Toronto and here is mine:

So David in other words you traded your wife in on a new MB GTC Coupe.

You may find as others have that it’s more cost efficient these days to lease both of them.

Enjoy your new ride.

Sitting for four months wouldn’t have hurt the car; I’d just get Service A done when the computer tells you to do so.

No rear diff oil change on these cars is what MB USA is telling us even though mine also came with a sticker stating that it needed to be done.

Enjoy the car!!

Sticker

This is the sticker that came with mine. I am at 450 miles. So, are you guys saying no need to change it? Why would the factory put it on the sticker then?

The secondary cat delete does not make the car that much louder. Main thing is idle and cold start louder, and wayyyyy more pops. Best 200 dollar mod and i think its a must do on these cars. The sound clips doesn't do it justice. Just read around on the forums I don't think a single person has regretted getting their secondary cats removed.

And believe it or not the gtc is alot cheaper to maintain than the wife.

I also talked to my service person today and he did confirm that we do not need a rear differential change and the cars that came with the stickers were either done in error or are base model GT. Also if you just look in your owners' manual it will tell you if your car needs it or not.

My GT R came with the exact same windshield sticker. There were questions raised here on the forum whether the diff oil needed to be changed as some GT Rs; (most?), did not come with the sticker. I was fine getting it done but when my SA plugged my car’s VIN into the ‘system’, it showed this not to be necessary.

Very clean looking GT C, nice purchase! I'm partial to the GT C coupe, over the roadster, so big thumbs up!
