Driveshaft Recall

QUOTE=FloridaGTS;8109534]I bought my 2016 GTS a few weeks ago and the CARFAX report flagged this recall issue as not being fixed. So, I'm getting it looked at next week - supposedly a 2 hour inspection is required. Given car has 10k miles, I suspect they won't see any issues. If they do, how long does the dealer take to do this service? Given its potentially a safety issue, I could see them giving me a service car until its repaired.[/QUOTE]

I've told the dealer I'll get that very important recall work done when I get an oil change. And to stop calling me about the recall.
I had to pull over and had all of the same symptoms of the carbon driveshaft failure I've read about here.
Its currently at my local MB dealer who just did a transmission flush and are saying its driving perfectly again. They do not believe its the driveshaft but assured me they would review again.
I find it very unlikely it isn't the carbon driveshaft after everything I've read but I'm not a MB technician and the car was manufactured outside of the June-July window.
Would really appreciate any feedback as I want to be fully confident its been taken care of and isn't going right back to them the next time I use it.
