Went to the drag strip tonight
I went to the drag strip for the first time in gts tonight. Sonoma raceway in northern California. I really should have figured out how to use race launch before getting there as I only got 1 successful run using the race launch. Not particularly fast and not happy with the 60 foot times. Car is totally stock 2016 amg gts in sport+ mode with race launch on oem tires. Here are the numbers for your reference.

We’ve talked about this before, but for me race launch was not effective in getting the car out of the hole, and it’s hard to engage at the line.
I went once, and my best was with ESC OFF, and feathering throttle from 1/2 to full throttle after about 1 second. 11.2/ 130.
if you can get 305 PS4s on there in back, probably a 11 flat for me.

Not bad for a first track test. Get the 60 ft down to a 1.7 and you have a 11.2 ET ish.
