We are all gettibg essentially the same information from different sources that seem to confirm the spoiler issue is the root cause. My own opinion is that the Blacks were shipped with the spoilers stored inside the car so the VPC’S could complete the installation.
If we are lucky today or Monday may be the release day.
Lets hope so.
Best regards
Jerry
Fingers crossed for everyone waiting! The car I'm waiting for has been sitting at the Baltimore VPC since October 21st showing a myriad of statuses in that time.
On that note, anyone waiting can provide a VIN and I'll check for you.

HEADS UP: My BS has just been released for pickup as of 9:30am. I made arrangements with my dealer to go get it as opposed to waiting on a carrier.
So it may show up at the dealer sometime late this afternoon. I am in Jacksonville, FL 45-50 minutes south of the Brunswick, GA VPC so it’s a relatively short trip.

Congratulations! Hopefully I have the same luck today.
Did they allow you any wheel time behind the new SL? I had a similar road and track experience before it's official release and was pleasantly shocked by it's capabilities.
Nope, we were not allowed to drive it unfortunately.

I couldn't believe how much it felt like a GT cruiser like the previous SL (albeit with an interior from this decade) in comfort mode and a track carving race car with ventilated seats in Sport+ and Race mode. The new suspension and subframe on that car are fantastic!
Was racing at COTA this past weekend at the WRL race and and spotted the AMG Academy outfit getting ready to do their thing after we left. There was a BS there, although I’m sure it was more fo sho than to let any of the students drive in it.
As Tiny Tim would say ,”It’s a good Christmas after all” since Santa dropped my Black Series off at my house.
Many thanks go out to lots of members here who provided encouragement and helped nudge the process along. In Burt Reynolds case, he provided vital status information on several occasions as the supply chain was stretched to the limit.
In the end, my Black was produced on 9/21 and is as I understand, one of the last 10 made.
Once production was complete it went into a “Black Hole” for nearly 6 weeks until it began it’s journey on its designated vessel, The Hawaiian Highway to Baltimore and then Brunswick VPC where it was off loaded.
As a (funny now) side note, my dealership made arrangements to pick the car up as soon as it was released from the VPC. Unfortunately, this occured on a Friday and when the flat bed truck driver got to the VPC, he was informed that they were closed because everybody went to a Christmas party and he would have to come back next week.
Fortunately everything has been resolved and I am the proud owner of a 2021 AMG GT Black Series.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone on this site.
WHAT, Iam not on the list? LOL Kudos for NOT getting a flat color. That sliver really shows off the lines of the BS and I really like how they integrated the fender vents. GL with it and many fun miles..
