I saw a 2020 in Canada and it had no cargo cover. Is this how all GTRs come in N America? In Europe, I know they can be optioned. Seems like a big miss to not have one, as it basically makes the trunk unusable if you park outside...

Funny that you posted this. I was about to ask the same thing. Didn't get it in my '19 GT R though. IIRC, it sells for $400 to $500 at the parts department. I would think tint helps a bit. I am looking at alternatives as well.

That’s good that you can add it after. I guess you remove the cover and it bolts in? It’s worth it to have, for sure.

do you know the part number of the cargo cover? I’m probably getting one because carrying a blanket in the trunk to cover my stuff actually feel stupid and still unsafe. MB should have offered it as an option. Pretty many people want that practical shade instead of a fake aluminum looking piece of plastic.

My Canadian 2020 GTR came with the cargo cover in a nice fabric bag. I have yet to install it.

Hi, no, that's not the cargo cover. That's the vertical net that lets you stack objects to the roof. All GTs have that. We are talking about the retractable cover. I think it's a big miss to not include this on N American GTRs - hopefully it's not expensive to install it aftermarket.

Hmm, post some photos. The retractable cover does not detach. It’s screwed in - so not sure what you’re referring to. It would not be included loose in its own pouch. That’s the net.

You should get the retractable cover installed. Can't be too difficult.

I believe it has to be bolted in. Believe it or not, I have yet see one in person.

Nearly every U.S.-spec GT R I've seen listed does not have the privacy cover, but there have been a few listed here that do. It's definitely not an option in the U.S. car configurators.
