Finally 🤞

Finally get my gts back after being lockdown at the dealer. Thankfully they have worked on it even though they are closed to general public due to covid-19. Lots of things been done. Thankfully not paid for except transmission service 👍

Prop recall
New rear spoiler mech
Transmission service
New reversing camera
Replacement pipe into diff which was weeping.
Software updates.

Least I can bring it home, park up and pamper , as still cannot drive out anywhere properly due to Corona.

Stay safe everyone 😷

What was wrong with the spoiler and rear view camera? Also curious what was updated in software. I'm wondering if I should ask my dealer for any software updates after this corona situation subsides.

I had water leaking into boot. Besides the drains needing a clear out in the tailgate the spoiler would sometimes not deploy properly. The whole assembly had gone slightly out of line and letting water in especially when it was washed.
The camera would show ' camera not available,' on the display. Could of been related to the water ingress, but Merc have replaced the camera and loom anyway.
The vehicle just needed s software update, not sure what for the but there was no charge anyway for that.

Can't wait to drive the 3 miles home later 😃

Curious about this one: "Replacement pipe into diff which was weeping". How was this found? Was there a transmission fluid smell?

I had trans service and prop replaced etc. Drove home and parked up. Next morning a pool of fresh trans oil under car. It was a small pipe that has a bladder on it that fits just inside the box. Not something they had changed Before on a GTS.
Just nipped out and checked while kettle boiling for a morning brew, and it's all nice and dry. 👍
A long weekend of cleaning now 😃 (including the oil soaked drive )
Enjoy your weekend
