Results after clay, polish and carnauba wax old school way.

I know everyone is doing the ceramic coating, but decided to save money and go this route. Did everything myself and bought Griots polish and Griots Show Wax. Here are the results on Magnetite Black.

There is nothing wrong with the old school way. You just have to redo it every few months. Ceramic coating is great for lazy *******s like myself.

Agreed. Ceramic coating makes cleaning easier, and does add a nice durable protection layer that is a bit more resilient than wax.

But that being said, they both have a different "look" and I find a good wax to have a particular warmth to it, that the wet depth of a ceramic coating doesn't have. It compliments some cars better than others, and in some cases, some coatings look too "wet".

There is also something satisfying about the wax process

I have a mix in my house.

I just did mine today. (Did the inside the other day with woolite, I have been using woolite for years and it works great.)
Wash , clay, polish and wax with liquid wax.
Now I need to take the wheels off and clean the brakes, and the wheel inside.
