Just want to applaud MB of Catonsville MD. I called today bc they owe me a key fob and also to let the service advisor know about the pop and creaking in the suspension (17 CPO) I live over an hour away and they are sending a loaner vehicle and taking my GT in without me having to step foot in the dealership. I thought this was awesome and very professional. I just hope the driver is responsible and drives my GT with care. Also what do they do to disinfect the cabin before returning it to me? I rather not have any grease grime or overspray cleaners. I already keep my car immaculate. Wasn’t sure if what they use could potentially fade the dash or leather materials.

My dealer (Knauz) offers the same service however no one is allowed to drive the car, instead they send the loaner on a flatbed and transport my car the same way.Originally Posted by Gp17gt

I would not be very comfortable handing the keys of my 850HP car to some grasshopper hiker who just started working for them.

i def understand. I regret having my brand new Z06 first oil change and the tech drove up on a curb damaging the front splitter....Originally Posted by absent

then again, I feel as if I ask for these demands, they tend to target you with negativity a bit more. So I trust they want my continued business and be professional.
I’ll hand him some cash and tell him I appreciate it. Hope that goes a long way rather then demanding him to drive responsible. Kinda makes him or her feel lower class.
I saw this movie 34 years or so ago, I think it was called Férris Bueller’s day off.

I do the service on my cars myself......But have had a few warranty repairs and loner cars for these. I find the E class a decent car, the C class a car that makes me ask why I would pay 40 something for this car with plastic seats when I can get a Honda Accord for 30 something with leather seats. Finally the last loner I got was a GLA. That car was horrid, the dual clutch trans was wierd along with an engine with bad turbo lag, then the ride was rough and the car was noisy.
The only loner I got from Mercedes that was really agreeable was the E Class.

they loaned me a 2020 GLE. Pretty damn nice. The all new led dual screen display is gorgeous. I had to send the car off bc they owed my a new key fob and it had to be programmed. Also I wanted them to look at the popping and creaking noises from the fron driver side suspension.Originally Posted by Katie22

I'm shocked your dealer does not treat you differently then CLA owner.(actually treatment should be the same but loaners should reflect and appreciate your much larger financial factor)Originally Posted by Katie22

My dealer has about half a dozen of S-Class loaners that are provided to all Maybach, S63 and S65 owners.

Funny you say that. I saw a VinWiki video with a valet company owner saying anytime there is an accident or damage, the one thing that happens to be consistent in every case is that the owner said "drive carefully" or "dont damage it."Originally Posted by Gp17gt

agreed, def doesn’t make sense if you bring in a S63 coupe and they put you in a c class for your loaner or even a GLC. They should put you in a better vehicle to entice you to purchase or trade in.Originally Posted by absent

I agree with the loner thing. I have the GTC and a Maybach and when under warranty for minor items the loner cars I got were as described. The only one I felt was worth the money you pay for is the E class and even that had plastic seats.......The rest of the loners I would rather buy a Honda Accord for same price or less money.
