OK, removing the bumper is WAY trickier than that video. It shows you all of the fastening points BUT it misses a very critical disclaimer.

At the top clips on each side where it clips to the rear quarter, you need to use a tool. The tolerances to get into the gap to remove unlatch the clip is less than the thickness of a credit card. If you tug on it like the video suggests, you have about a 90% chance of tearing your bumper cover the way they explain it in the removal video below (I did). It's a very costly mistake - you might be able to get to it through removing the wheels and fender well, but I followed the video and....heartbreak. Ive removed a ton of bumper covers and never experienced this before - the video would have been accurate in all of those cases - its pretty standard. For the GT not so much. My body shop said the same thing when I came to them needing a new cover...its just that much harder to remove, and rewards you with a tear if you dont get it right.

This is 10000000000% true! Good call Skilly....now sell your damn Audi R8 and get back over here with us. We need you! That is why I asked for the pics/video/guidance. YOU WILL TEAR THE BUMPER ON REMOVAL. From what I know it's a nightmare to remove, not put on. It is a horrible design.

they don't in the video and they didnt with mine, even after the shop removed it correctly - lol. I don't think taking them out gives you better access...there aren't any clips under them. I guess it doesn't hurt, but I would focus on finding the tool to gain access to the clips.

don't know how that;s an option. Its a 3 opening exhaust....and far from cheap.

I agree with you, the normal GT R exhaust has 3 outputs, however, I know 2-3 GT Rs here who have rebuilt so, the car is also gets louder overall. For me, it would not need the 2 outputs on the sides
8100$ for a used exhaust is very expensive, as far as I found out, the exhaust here costs about that much new. That's why I say , I waited a while until I found one that fit the price.

But therefore... cheaper than buying a new exhaust would be

Funny enough, it's the muffler that ends up being the issue, not the entire exhaust. Even with tuners solutions, like Fi, the just provide new piping and config with the OEM muffler...which for the life of me other than eliminating the EVs, I have no idea why? It would be FAR less drama to simply add an EVM to get the same result. I also wonder what would be materially different from using your OEM muffler and fabricating the third opening to get the same results. The stock systems are great aside from the valves.

This mod is different of course, but for sound, the tinkering should be done up front with the downpipes or secondaries.

German exhaust company Capristo seems to be the only company which offers a complete exhaust system incl a new muffler

Any link to such tool? This is the only tool I find and don't think you would have the access for this, it’s more for use once bumper is removed. https://www.polyvance.com/Tab-Tools/
