Well, picked up my black/black/black 2017 GT yesterday and starting down the long road to understanding it. The car has 19K miles and is a MB certified car. I don't have any pics worthy of it yet, but coming someday.
First obstacle on the road is the homelink. I'm usually good at this, but frustrating I cannot get the first programming step - getting the homelink to accept the remote code. The little programming light on the homelink doesn't seem to be showing the colors in the correct pattern described in the manual. I've tried clearing all codes, but no joy so far. On top of it, I have the latest Liftmaster 2.0 on a brand new home and it proves to be a shaky new system design at best. Could not get my Bentley programmed either but my Wife's Jaguar F-Pace did OK without much protest. I'll get serious with it later on today.
I'm also a little overwhelmed with the electronics/settings as is probably normal, but with only about 25 miles driven in two short rides, 10 of which my wife was the driver. I did manage to get the radio to play music though (LOL). I'm pretty strong in the mechanical area, EMS tuning on other cars, etc., but weak on the frilly NAV, convenience features stuff. Some stuff I never will use anyway, and probably tags my age. I never got NAV. Why do I need an electronic map in the car when I already know where I'm going?
The MB tech went over the entire car's features (in light speed) and synced my phone, which I'm sure is important??? Someday, I want to learn how to create a music playlist and sync that to the car.
Slowly things are starting to make sense. Today I want to see if I can get a digital speed to read out on the instrument cluster. I read it's under trip in the menu. Does it stay when chosen? Or reset on startup?
I'm sure 6 months from now I'll revisit this thread and reread my first post and roll my eyes...but I'm humble enough to admit it...hahaaa...
Life's little first world problems...embarrassing! Oh, and I forgot....the car is definitely a WOW.....
This was always my favorite first world problem captioned pic:

This one too....hahaaa...
Although digital speed readout is nice but I leave mine on the AMG engine and transmission temperature read out all the time since to me that is the most important piece of info on when car is ready to be driven WTO.

i do the same- I leave it on the amg display- it has all of the info u need including digital speed display. Can’t imagine using any other display after playing around with all of them
this amg display also lets u know when the car is warmed up - the transmission fluid and oil temp are blue until it’s warmed up
Well, after four *&$%ing hours (or it seemed that way) I finally got the homelink programmed. Do they go out of their way to make instructions ambiguous? Also got digital speedometer up and memory driver's seating pos programmed. Next is fitting and programming the fetching Missus' positions, albeit is more token than anything. She usually isn't all that "comfy" driving my "man cars". Hell, the last Corvette I had, by the time I supercharged and tuned it she wouldn't even ride as a passenger anymore.
I’m sure we’ll come across each other at some point. I’m just north of Old Town. I went to the Toy Barn Cars and Coffee near you on Saturday.
Yes, I'm only 5 mins away from Scottsdale Cars Coffee and have attended for the last 10 years. It's shut down right now (Have to watch their WS each month) but when it runs again I'll be there. Maybe we can meet up and start an AMG GT row (of 2, haha). I used to go to the Pavilions on Sat nights, but that was in the days of Corvettes and other AM muscle stuff like my FF Cobra. I didn't think my Bentley would fit there, and have my doubts about this one.

I’m a member of the Scuderia Southwest and regularly attend their events. I know at least one other gentleman in the group has an Edition One GTS (he’s also a Vette guy with a C7Z currently).
I know Pavillion’s has been shut down for a while due to COVID. I just moved to the area a few months ago, but I’ve been here several times and attended previous Pavillion’s where I’ve seen other GTS/GTC cars.
I also come from a Vette and had a Backdraft Cobra. Great minds think alike.

If you're into Vettes, I'm an HP Tuner guy. I built a C6 with an A&A Centri blower and tuned it myself. Got 620hp out of a base C6. The C8 is using the newest E99 ECU that comes with a GM built firewall with rolling codes, so things are not so bright at the moment for C8 builds. I also heard the EMS using the E99 uses a closed loop throughout the entire RPM range w/o a PE and open loop in high RPMs so I'd have another learning curve if I ever got in. I'm guessing they must have a variable injector data table along with a variable fuel trim ratio that leaves Stoich at high RPM. All conjecture on my part and I don't see a lot of real info online yet.
Here is a pic during build. I built it completely including building a 302 from ground up. And one final, finished look before it was sold.

Yup, I also had a 600 RWHP C6 with a centrifugal setup. And my Cobra was also very similar in color to yours with a 302 also (Whipple supercharged 5.0 Coyote).
