Audio volume low to high by itself

My car has just got back from service
And on the way home, a very odd problem has surfaced.
Before I take it back Monday, I was wondering if anyone can help me sort this out.

The audio volume cycles up from low to high all by itself.
I can use the volume know to lower it down again but it then goes up to high volume by itself.

Pressing the knob down does mute it.
So the knob itself seems to work.

Any ideas?

(Separately the buttons on the steering wheel for volume and menu system do not work any more)

Thanks

Dynamic volume. It goes up to compensate for cabin noise.

is this randomly or while you drive? Burmeister does have something called VNC which is supposed to adjust sound to offset ambient road noise, but doesn't directly impact volume. I also think there is a feature that adjusts volume control against speed but not clear if its adjustable in the command system.

I am familiar with the dynamic volume, which adjusts volume to speed and ambient sound. This may actually be something related to the failure of the ambient sensor making the music system compensate.

Its very weird.

Goes from nothing to full blast in a continuous increase (6 to 7 secs) and turning the knob down simply reduces the sound to nothing and letting the knob go, it rises again to full blast on its own.

Good luck duplicating the problem for the mechs.
