2012 Mercedes C63 amg

New panamericana grill and bumper retrofit for 2016 amg gts

Hi guys,

I was hoping to retrofit my 2016 amg gts with the new panamericana bumper and grill. Does anyone know if the new bumper is a direct fit with my 2016 gts? Is it just a matter of buying a 2018+ bumper, painting it, and installing it on my 2016 amg gts?

And why is that? Sell my car and spend +20k for a gtc just to get the new bumper? I doubt the bumper + paint + labour will cost 20k.

there is a 2018 GTS

OEM bumper, grille, paint, labor will cost close to 10k...then there is the depreciation of your car. You're better off trading yours in for a 2018.

GTS to GTS no modification. You can't fit GTC to GTS.

I see that thread but it refers to just the grill conversion. I am interested in changing the entire front bumper to the new panamericana bumper + grill, as the grill is NOT the only thing that changed with the facelift. Therefore I am wondering if a new facelift bumper is a direct fit on my 2016 vehicle.

I did a few change overs on Lamborghini Gallardo's (to the LP type front), and the process was not as easy as it seems. I tend to agree with the most of the advice you have gotten. Once you start taking a car a part you usually run into a lot more than you bargained for.

Sensor, wiring, mounting points - can all be different and you won't know it until you have it all apart.

Don't bother - enjoy the car as is for a few years and use that money to put into your next vehicle.

I think the bumper is separate from the wheel arches. If not, the bumper from this kit would def work:

I think it's missing some stuff there, not to bention the damages to it, and that's assing the OP ever got a solid anselwer as to whether or not those bumpers are a direct fit to the earlier models.
