Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum however have had an AMG GTS 2016 for the past 3 years. Thank you for all the info over the years. I just registered as a member. I bought a complete engine with turbo's and all electrical components such as starter, alternator etc. Engine is complete and has 6000km on it. This is approximately 3700 miles. It is from a 2018 AMG GTC. Engine is in mint condition. I also bought a complete transmission and carbon fiber drive shaft with the complete aluminum casing. Have two seats which are black with grey inserts. They are not the AMG performance ones but the more comfortable ones. Complete with air bags, heated, cooled, also two door panels. I would like to sell this as a one complete engine and one complete transmission. I am open to offers however am not desperate to sell. Let me know what you all think its worth. I am located in Canada.

Just a couple of questions for clarification:
1. Did you receive the ECU with the engine purchase, and is it the original ECU that ran the engine? Did you witness the engine running?
2. I assume I know this answer, but just in case, the transmission and driveshaft were paired (from the same car), BUT the trans and engine are from different cars? Different years or all 2018?
3. Was (or were) the car(s) these power train components came from an accident car(s)?
Thanks,

Hey,
Yes the motor, transmission and driveshaft are all from the same car. The seats and door panels are from another car. I don't have the ECU. The vehicle it came from was written off by the insurance company then bought back by the original owner. Before the parts were removed I heard the engine run and all functions on transmission worked properly. Car was drivable however the impact was on the drivers side door pillar and rear quarter panel. The impact caused the frame to be bent inwards slightly. The glass roof cracked, airbags were deployed, the rear hatch was also bent and glass broken. The roof rails, both sides of car that run over both passenger side and drivers side have cross bracing inside. This was damaged and should not be repaired as its part of the safety structure. The drivers side rear wheel was not hit. The vehicle that hit the car was a truck and as such the impact was higher than the rear wheel. The insurance company decided that it would cost too much to repair and would not be safe, well after the owner fought with them...LOL! I have no idea how anyone would attempt to repair this as I do not think it would be possible. I don't know how I can offer a guarantee since I am not a business. I guess I can offer you my word....LOL! The owner bought it back from insurance company as they gave him that option. I don't know what he paid but he wanted to buy a vehicle that had a blown up motor and put this motor into it. He ended up selling to me because he couldn't find a used one with drivetrain and/or engine damage. I also think he wasn't prepared to put the time a project of this magnitude would require.

Thanks very much, good detail info and will be helpful for you.
I am going to pass your info by someone I know doing a project. It is a longshot. I'll let you know if there is interest.
Also, and for the life of me I cannot find the thread, but I thought recently someone here was doing a project on a car that needed an engine? Sorry again, I cannot find the thread.

Paul,
This is the project thread I was unable to find. He might be set already, but maybe if you PM him he might have a need for your powertrain.

Also, I checked with the guy I know working on a ground up build, but he wasn't interested, sorry...
