Help with a LOOK-Over
Hi,
Put a deposit on a white 2018 GT-R at Lamborghini of Dallas....Car looks as new, was told by salesman the same. Only 1220 miles, 1 owner, local client that just traded 2 cars in and ordered 700K Lambo, Have a walk-around video and pics but if someone lives close and can give it a 5 min walk-around I would appreciate it. TIA Kevin

My car is a 2018 the car you have pictured lists as a 2016....Even if it was the car I am buying the issue was a simple fix genius...Please think before you post.

Simple fix or not, it's the same car (GT R didn't come out until 2018). Same wheels, calipers, and location, "genius". Was going to offer to look it over for you but you seem like an ****, so I'll pass.

This car on Instagram is obviously mislabeled a 2016; as you know, GT R was conceived in 2018.
I, for one, am grateful for the eagle eyes and knowledge of NYCsoil and Orcblog, who are trying to save you from a headache.
Yet you come in here and ask for a favor, then spout condescension.
Ignorance is bliss. I suppose.
Or you can further edify yourself, and query a connect at a MB dealership for VMI on the VIN of interest and confirm the work mentioned in IG post, as the "bearedbenzmaster" appears to be an AMG technician at MB of Plano, TX.

If it were me OP, I would get the VIN and have it checked by an MB dealer. There are a lot of reasons (I should know I have used most of them) someone drives a car only 1220 miles. One of those reasons might be it spent a lot of time at the dealership getting problems fixed. Of course it could just be that the owner did not like the car or they had a lot of cars or thought it might be worth something down the road. Whatever the reason, it is better to know as much as possible before you buy the car.

I believe if a stranger on a forum went to the trouble to find out information on a car I was considering that might save me a ton of headaches and money in the future, I would try hard not to write a douchebag reply.
But that's just me.

APOLOGIES
First of all I want to apologize to the forum members who posted and replied to the information NYCSoil posted in this thread. I jumped the gun, so to speak and because I could not see the Instagram video I assumed hastily that it was BS and not the car I was interested in.. I found out, by looking at the dealer it went to from Carfax, what really happened, which was stated in NYCSoils intagram posting and not on the Carfax.....No excuses I was a douche....
I was able to find out by tracking down the technician who worked on it that it was indeed a bad coil pack on cyl.5 that he found by switching it to cyl. 7. He told me that a campaign was sent out to owners from MB to replace all the coil packs. The other thing he told me is the one that failed was the old part#. He went on to say that the car is all correct now as far as that goes. He also went on to say the car is like new and gave it his blessing...The techs name is Chris Manning and he works at MB of Plano..11+ years of experience and loves the GTR..A really nice guy who assured me the car I am buying is not a lemon or problem child, it just needs to be driven!
Again I want to thank NYCSoil ,Orcbolg,MBNRG,and CarNut1 you have my humblest apologies. I hope to be able to converse with you all,in a civil manner of course, as my 2018 GTR is in the final paperwork stages and then shipping to me soon.. Sorry I started out on the wrong foot on this forum. Kevin

No worries here I have no feelings to hurt. It is good though that you decided to investigate the car in more detail. If you end up with the car, I wish you the best of luck with it.
