Price opinions please - GTR
Prices are all over the board on these things and I need some expert feedback from owners who have recently picked up a GTR please. Now - before you hammer me
on "price being subjective and its worth whatever I am willing to pay for it etc.", I am looking for real-life advice in this whacky post covid car buying frenzy world.I am interested in a 2018-2019 car with less than 10k miles with some of these options. What do you think I can expect to pay? what constitutes a good value? Appreciate the help for the rookie.
- Black or Silver preferred.
- Exterior Carbon Fiber Pkg II - $1,600
- Exclusive Interior Pkg - $3,600
- Carbon Ceramic Brakes - $8,950
- Carbon Fiber Trim - $3,150
- Illuminated Door Sills - $700
- Distronic Plus - $2,250
- Crossbar Carbon Fiber - $1,600
- Burmester Sound - $1,300
I would say that $150-180k would be current pricing on used, fully loaded GTRs. Obviously , car condition and miles would dictate final pricing .
Since then, there has been parabolic up-swing from multiple factors as you well know - discontinuation of the model as mentioned, chip shortage, other supply chain shortages, etc etc
A solid deal would be ~140K for ~5K miles with everything on your goodie list above. Examples of this were available up until mid-April, after which prices steadily rose each month. The Selenite Grey Magno color seems to sell the quickest.
And then you had a bunch of speculation from out of state Dealer agents who were competing against you to ****** the remaining well priced GT Rs in your own state, only for that same GT R to show up 3-4 weeks later on their own website for 20+K markup (cough cough - Mark Motors, TX is one such example).
At this point, it may make more sense to look for a 2019 New GT R that's been sitting on the lot for awhile (rare) where a price drop is imminent, or consider uber low mileage 2019s with CPO Warranty of which there are a few examples, especially on Autotrader.
Good luck!

Once the Black Series is released and you see those cars on social media etc I think the price of used GTR's will probably go up.
Seeing it happen with 2018 G 63's. Those have jumped almost $20 grand over the last year or so.

The GTR is interesting since its production run got cut short to 3 years...with a refresh just for 1 model year. That has to be a good recipe for desirability 10-15 years from now, but until then I don't even have an inkling. That being said, this car is def work its sticker price, let alone ~$180k or whatever the going price is right now. It is rarer and faster than most Huracans and has road presence that is unlike any other front engine sports car out there. Porsche's 992 GT3 is being lauded for finally having a double wishbone setup when AMG had that in the GT all along. Not to mention every other sports car at CnC is a GT3 lol

There are some deals to be had, just patience....
Saw a couple on E-Bay.....https://www.ebay.com/itm/20351142145...kAAOSwQsBg3h3S or full renntech package https://www.ebay.com/itm/16488427238...8AAOSwy8BgJ5ze
Depends on if you want the CC's are not, I say it's a must on the car, but I'm a brake snob ha!

But still relevant, I believe prices are going to dive once people realize the cost of owning high priced anything.
i’ve been looking at some yachts and it’s absolutely crazy how expensive some boats have become. As much as that market has always been volatile, I’m thinking it will be a crazy buyers market next year…..
