MB extended warranty cost

Looking at a 2019 GTc with 6K miles, hoping someone could ballpark me on costs for MB's extended warranty.
Seems to be a national secret. TIA

Depending on "in service date" you should have warranty until sometime in 2023 so you don't have to be worried about a quick answer...

You are right, I do have some time on an answer. Though I would like to have an idea prior to pulling the trigger next Tuesday :-)

I assume you are buying from a MBZ dealer correct? If so your salesman can and should tell you aprox cost. Its not a secret. All he has to do is ask the finance guy/gal for an estimate. There is only a couple options for extended warranty thru MBZ for the GT's. I will tell you mine was $4600 24 months and unlimited miles. This on a 2016 GTS with 5500 miles when i bought it last year CPO car.

Thanks! It's a Porsche dealer about 600 miles from me. He's trying to sell me on theirs but I want to go through my local MB

Do yourself a favor MT, look at warranties outside MB. You can go longer for a lot less.

Do search, there are hundreds of threads.

Great advise, from expierence I'd probably quote him around $4,000 for 5 years up to 100,000 miles on a complete manufacturers extension policy comparable to Mercedes Benz ELW.

good call here - I’ve had National extended warranties on all of my AMGs and it’s been a huge benefit to cost.

I would say that would be the best route to take with your local MBZ dealer. You have time as its still under warranty but get it before it expires.

Good thread and discussion guys. I also looking into purchasing extended warranty, through factory. I just think its less red tape when the time comes. They run about 8K for the additional 3 years 75K miles from what I know.

i was quoted $7,800 for 3 more year unlimeed miles , had another dealer quote me 3 years with 60,000 miles for $4,800, i barelly have 77,000 on my stage 3 2005 e55. i looked inot several warranites and talke to 3 shops when i was considering Veritas full coverage which i recall being 5k for 6 years unlimted miles , but seemed like there could be too many hurdles to jump over with pre approvals and waits, when i just want my car to be fixed.

And mostly because MBs extended warranty is utter ****. Read the policy, a lot more isn't covered than is with their "limited" warranty. I had several claims denied before the dealer offered to buy back my GTS for what I paid a year prior (crazy car market indeed). This includes a $5000 replacement estimate for the dreaded "rattling exhaust" they even denied although it's a known issue with two tsb's. Policy cost me $5000 for two years (got refunded in full on that too) of their worthless extended warranty.

Seriously save your money. Best bet with MB is buy them new and sell/trade before the original warranty expires.

Lemons have been recorded with every manufacturer, even high-end ones. Looks like even though you went through continuous struggles with your MB you were made whole, well, as far as in monetary value as you cant put a price on your time.

"Best bet with MB is buy them new and sell/trade before the original warranty expires." > I have heard this same statement about BMW(s) too. LOL We have 3...
My R is my first MB and hopefully will not be as faulty as your S was...
What do you plan to get next?

Oh don't get me started with BMW, after X5 lemoned with state AG, then tons of aggravation with an M3, I swore off buying a BMW again.

I've had the best luck with Audi and Porsche (currently have an Audi sedan). The cars but also the dealerships and corporate. I wasn't impressed with the two MB dealers I used with the GTS and corporate MB were a bunch of c***s like BMWNA. Will probably replace the missing sports car garage space with another 911.

Wow I have no experience with them being so bad. Interesting to know...
What other companies are you going with? Which is the industry leader?
