Oh no!


So who knows this one? Don’t see it in manual. Just lost all drive while accelerating at speed in 2017 GT. Maybe the drive shaft issue? Car still looks good on the side of the road with flashers on.

These were the messages thrown when we started the car after the tow. The diagnosis is a CF driveshaft failure mentioned in the letter. The drive shaft was previously inspected. We’ll see how Merc handles this.

Hope it gets sorted out. Just a general "Malfunction" alert...very odd. Seems so broad.

Just to close the loop on this, the driveshaft was replaced with the updated version by the dealership under the recall. No cost to me and not a big deal, no hassles.
