The only recall in the recent past that I know of that impacted the ECU is the campaign 2020070001. It was started back in Nov of last year, but only implemented starting in the spring of 2021. I just had mine done in June. It impacted 2015 to 2018 MYs. This is not an ECU replacement, it is an ECU reflash. It's pretty simple in terms of data table changes. The essence of the recall was supposed to change cold start idle times; however, some who have had the recall done claimed that it changed other things, things which we were discussing in your other thread such as gurgles and pops.

This might be a related thread and it might help you with "decisions" to do the reflash given you're tuned.

EDIT: PS: You might want to check that the recall isn't already done on yours. And, the dealer, if working on other issues, will see this if the recall is not done on your car and will try to reflash it w/o you requesting it (or wanting it).

I don't feel a change after the update. Pops and everything else are still there.

I know you don't want to hear those nasty pops and burbles.

Just tested and mine are STILL there (darn). Sounds like I'm driving a 56 Chevy in Havana......LOL....

That very first big pop on deceleration is the typical overfueling (cylinder cooling) that is programmed in right before DFCO. It's not surprising....this cannot go away....

I've heard 56 Chevies in Havana and of course I thought they sounded great, at least what I heard above the street music.
