Do you have it removed from the car? Outside photo won't reveal if the compressor is seized inside the only thing they will be able to judge is the condition of the pulley to see if it's broken and perhaps argue that an outside object caused it to brake!

If yours is not off the car I can send you some pictures of a compressor body and parts of a broken pulley for you to compare.
Let me know

Hereby some pictures that make it easier to understand - I would like to see if the cradle is broken (you might have hit something) - If the flex coupling is not damaged (you might had a broken belt that damaged it - I the of the pulley is not sheared off (if the compressor internally is seized) by design it will shear off from the coupling so the PS doesn't get destroyed.
I believe that if the compressor is seized (center is sheared) and you did not have and AC line leak whereby you lost the lube oil out of the system you have a valid warranty claim.

Hope these picture help

Stenzel,

This not a belt that drives the combination PS pump and AC compressor, it is the flexible coupler that is located between the back of PS pump and front of the AC compressor. The PS pump has a front pulley where a drive belt is located that drives the PS pump and at the same time AC compressor shaft.

See the schematic for clarification
