Anyone tried to do this ?

Thats actually pretty cool. At $450 I would buy it if it had good instructions and didn't require to take the whole dash apart.

I'd find it distracting. There's already enough going on in the dashboard area.

Looks like a good addition to the interior to me. I would go for it with a good video tutorial and written instructions. I have been looking into them but have not ventured into it yet.

Hi,
My personal opinion:
I don't like the oval center controls. Also I don't like the many "glossy" chrome.
Does not go with the night package.
Black with "matt chrome" and round central control would be o.k.
And, this version is now already "obsolete". :-)
Find the new ones "next Generation" much nicer:
Mercedes EQS (fischer-automotive.com)
Are there now already as "china clones" for retrofitting.
If it ever comes in black, it's worth considering for me.
