confused about gts alignment

I have recently got a gts and in the paperwork is an alignment the guy had done.

Toe and castor is fine and the car drives ok but what confuses me is this totally stock car has 2.5 deg negative front and 1.5 deg neg rear.

Surely that should be the other way round?

In my experience more camber up front will lead to a pointy front end and snap oversteer. Granted the other way round can lead to understeer but i am confused. i haven't done much driving yet but the front does feel a bit pointy.

What should it be?

I understand the car uses shims to set the amount of camber. Is it a home diy job to take out one from the front and put in the rear? Or do i need to buy boxes of shims. My local dealer didn't even know about them at all. The amount up front and rear would tell me the layman that i can just take a shim from the front and put on the rear and as such balance the camber up a bit.

Any ideas?

I had my alignment done with a local indie shop and it's not an easy thing to do and that's because of the shims. I ended up ordering 2 boxes from Ebay but in the end I only needed 1 box. I wouldn't really call it a DIY job because after placing the shims you need to put the wheels back on and read the alignment again - this can take many times until you actually end up getting it the way you want. I think my read ended up being -2 degrees and front was like -1,5 degrees. My shop charged me for like 8 hours total because it really was a pain in the *** to get it the way I wanted.
