AMG GT BLACK SERIES; Spoiler Error Question

I'm receiving a spoiler fault from my AMG GT Black Series when the rear wing attempts to raise while breaking. Ultimately the plan is to take it to my dealer, once appointments are available, but I figured I'd ask if anyone else has had the same problem.

Thanks!

I have NO first hand experience yet…..still waiting on mine.

But, It seems most of the time you can “reboot” by turning the car off and waiting for awhile and then restarting the car and trying to repeat the failure.

If this doesn’t work I would recommend you take it to the dealer so they can rundiagnostics on it. The diagnostics reside in Germany and are only accessed by your dealer and your VIN number. Like the many other models, they have a “living database” consisting of all the reported issues on the BS along with corrective processes and procedures.

If no solution is immediately found a Germany based AMG BS Tech will be assigned to work on a resolution.

Please let us know how this is resolved.

Also, please report/document the “gravel and sand retention” issue in the rocker panels that Burt first reported. If we all do this I think AMG will come up with a solution shortly.

Best regards

Jerry

Hi,

If AMG has adapted the existing symbols. My guess:

The symbol shown in the display is more about the front area.

The aerodynamically very sparingly equipped BS :-) does not have an extendable underfloor wing like the GTR.
(AMG needed the control circuits for the rear wing)

But there is the manually extendable front splitter.
Possibly this is monitored and is not properly locked.

Since it reports when braking, it speaks more for the rear wing flap.

Best

Can you take a photo of the spoiler fault message? I’m not seeing any faults.
The first photo is the startup sequence, where all the dash lights illuminate.

Edit: Thanks for the correction
I drove an demonstrator blackseries in germany on monday. The car i drove had both front and rear aero failures so it had a specific symbol for that ie a little car with a red cross underneath the front and another red cross underneath the rear. So this isn't MB being lazy with their graphics.

The car is getting PPF applied so I will have it back Friday. I will upload pictures of the specific fault message then. Thanks.
