Hi - I'm new to the forum. Just took ownership of a 2019 red GTC a few days ago. I love it so far! I noticed there is a storage "area" or indentation at the very back of the rear cargo area with two velcro straps. Does anyone know what this is for? Thanks.

Depends on how you're going to use the car. Can't imagine it's going to be your grocery-getter. Fun rides and a weekend getaway, I'd look for some luggage to fit the area.
