Mercedes-AMG is a separate brand and has only two models the GT and GT 4 door and it is not diluted. It is different than AMG tuned models.
That’s news to me. AMG did design and manufacture a couple of cars, namely the SLS and GT two door models. They also designed the new SL from scratch which is not manufactured at AMG just like the GT 4 door models, but that car was E Class based and is manufactured along with other E Class models.
And one comes with non hand-build engines. I suppose that’s not diluted

The AMG designed and manufactured portion is not diluted.
No cars being built right now to fit that criteria actually makes the likes of GT more scarce. How is that make them diluted?
The only cars AMG builds themselves are the GT3 and GT4 cars. The GT was built at a Mercedes-Benz factory in Sindelfingen. AMG mostly just builds the engines at their factory in Affalterbach. You might benefit from a factory tour.

GT is not a rebadged MB model. After the SLS, it is the second car entirely developed in-house by the AMG.

So? I don't think you have much clue about how AMG develops their models. While the GT was not based on an existing MB model, many of its parts are shared with other models or come from third-parties. Even the 9-stage TC for example is shared with the FL C63S, which you may not know. The GT, GT S and GT C didn't even get it. I really can only recommend you visit Affalterbach and get the private tour they offer to AMG owners. You might be disappointed to find out that they don't actually build any of their street cars themselves. Unless you are a GT3, GT4 or AMG One customer, you don't have a unique car. I've been to the Stuttgart area several times and have contacts there. Was just there a couple of weeks ago and toured the Affalterbach factory 3 years ago when I did European Delivery. It was educational and eye opening once you look past the marketing. Not dinging the brand. They build great cars, but you might learn a thing or two about how they go about designing the AMG models. If you think most AMG models are just regular MBs with a badge and few performance parts, then you don't understand how AMG tears them down and rebuilds them from the ground up with modified chassis parts etc. I agree with you, though, when it comes to the 43 and 53 models. Those used to be more appropriately badged as AMG line models as they don't get the same treatment as the 63 models.

It doesn't matter how many times you've been to Affalterbach or how many friends you have there or if you have a private tunnel from you house to the MB factory. None of these changes the facts mentioned in my last statement.

I forgot the point you were trying to make.
So only the SLS and GT 2 door models are AMG's?
Never mind the point that AMG was founded for the purpose of tuning/modifying MB models (and purchased by MB for that same reason)
Look, I think its clear from your responses that we can explain it to you, but we can't understand it for you. Well done though - you are, not for nothing, consistent.
$473k all in is a bit light, but still around 100+ over MSRP. Less than many paid, myself included, but also not concerned about selling in a mixed market, so moot point. Mercedes couldn't have chosen a better time to release the car, with this spiraling inflation, but it could be worse.
I'm genuinely curious, and this seems like one of the better places to get an okay sample size-
Are there any BS owners who are enjoying their cars? What is the highest mileage any of you have or know of?
My thoughts are that the market at the time of sale has lead to almost all of these cars being tucked away for future speculation. When the SLS BS was sold, they moved at MSRP and even slight discounts. With a quick search there are plenty of those with miles on them.
