Service B6 due

Im getting service B6 required in 15 days

Checked with mercedes and they quoted $1380 for Oil, Filter and transmission fluid flush.

Is it really a fluid flush or just replacement?

Also, does it need new transmission fluid at 16k miles - 2019 model

No, it does NOT need a transmission fluid flush at 16K miles! I work exclusively with the lead AMG service tech at my dealer. I also have a 2019 GTC. Transmission fluid is not required until 4 years/60K km.
Stop doing the “A and B Services” - these are just cash grabs. Ask for your oil to be changed annually, or every 20K km, flush your brake fluid every 2 years, that’s it.

Yes, I would wait until Jan. Also, ~$1100 for a transmission fluid flush seems high! An oil change should be about $250.

Most of us, or at least many of us drive our GT’s less than 5000 miles a year. if you fall into this category you only need to change your oil once a year. the only reason it needs to be changed that soon, as it’s anti-wear capabilities are still likely 100%, is that it’s collection of impurities and acids from the engine can cause some minor deterioration in engine parts. On brake fluid I agree every two years or even three years with the newest level brake fluid, is entirely sufficient now. many manufacturers, like BMW, who have stopped paying for the first 4 years of maintenance suddenly have renamed their transmission fluid as “lifetime“ versus recommending a change every four years which would’ve been previously paid for by BMW. Although I don’t know that Mercedes is claiming its transmission fluid to be “lifetime“ I wouldn’t even think about it until at least 4 to 5 years and 50,000 miles. There are millions of cars running perfectly around this country that are lucky to get the oil change every 10 to 12,000 miles, whith their brake fluid and transmission fluid likely never being drained until the car is 8 to 10 years old. if you have a GT you can probably afford and want to provide a little higher level of service. I recently got a notice from the Mercedes dealer and my wife’s C300 needed an oil change as the car was a year old. However the car only has 2500 miles on it and the dealer told me to not even worry about it at that mileage till it gets to 5000 or two years. Now, I guess that if Mercedes could claim that non-service by the book lead to a failure that would have prevented by the book maintenance they could refuse to warrant it but that is an awful tough not to crack for them unless the abuse is apparent or just crazyStupid such as these five year old cars that have never had a oil change but have 80,000 miles on them and their oil is like wheel bearing grease. I don’t have my book with me right now but it seems like even in my GT service manual it gives the one year well service period for lower mileage cars.

For what it's worth, I just had an oil change done. 10 months since the last and 3k miles in. Didn't think it needed it but the last time dealer overfilled anyway. Total was $360 something.
