AMG GTR - stock rear wing

How much drag does the AMG GTR - stock rear wing create?

The small, stock rear wing on a corvette c8 takes the top speed from 194 mph to 184 mph.

I was wondering how much faster the AMG GTR would be, than 198 mph?

.... or is it too unstable at high speed, without the rear wing?

IMHO removing any aerodynamic components is a bad bad idea. At these speeds, it's all about aerodynamics. Your front splitter and rear spoiler are what pushing the car to the ground, giving you the grip and stability. The GTR have enough reserve HP to overcame drag and take the car past 198mph, but it is electronically limited. In that case, having more drag is like having more weight in the car, you will get to the 198 speed, but with a bit more time/distance. If you take the electronically limited RPM of the GTR at 7000 and calculate the top speed based on 7th gear 0.69 ration and Final drive of 3.875 ratio, on 325/30 -20 tires diameter, you will find that this results at about 198mph. To overcome this speed limit, you can remove the rpm limit and/or use tires with bigger diameter (like 335/30-20).

See example of bad aerodynamics

Hi,

He'll only get dangerous. Not faster at first. Is limited / regulated as standard.

Best regards
