AMG GTS/Fidelity Warranty

Has anyone had any experience dealing with an aftermarket warranty you purchased? Fidelity is only offering to cover about half the labor costs (they've agreed to cover parts) and I'm wondering if there's room for negotiation. I'm planning to call to understand why the entire labor costs aren't covered. My mechanic provided Fidelity with a breakdown of the labor hours (almost 50hrs to replace a valve cover gasket, with many hours tied to dropping the motor and reinstalling it) so I'm not sure how Fidelity decide some of the hours were ok, but rejected the other hours. Any assistance?

I’m not a lawyer but I recommend that you re read your policy carefully. The wording should define what labor cost is covered.

Good Luck.

Hey @chewbaccam , aș a Fidelity provider, we have not experienced anything of the sort with our customers.... but like @AMG 17GT pointed out... almost 50 hours may be a little excessive.

.
50 Hours sounds very excessive.
May consider contacting your local MB Dealership to request a Book Time Estimate for Valve Cover Gasket replacement (or check on Mercedes WIS (Workshop Information System) if accessible).
MB has published time standards/time estimates for each procedure.
Then discuss any time estimate discrepancies with your Mechanic.
Best of luck!
