AMG_GTC_1991

Hey guys,

i recently bought my dream car. A AMG GTC (2020). Everything in this car is perfect expect the sound.
I live in Germany and it is mandatory for Cars newer than 2018 to have an OPF which kills the character.

I tried the ASR Module which helps a bit but not enough. Now i am thinking of doing a OPF Delete.

Anyone from Germany who already did and can help me out?

bought my gtr from Germany as well, it also has OPF. i have changed stock downpipes with aftermarket with sport cats.

Wow thats great. I would also like to put aftermarket downpipes with sport cats but there are strict regulations in germany.
In my documents there is written that the sound is allowed until 92 db when you are at 3750 revolution per minute. If someone is controlling your car you will have a tolerance of +5db so i can't go over 97db.

What is written inside your documents and did you measure the sound with your downpipe?

How much of a difference to sound did this make? Was it worth the change?

Fortunately, we do not have any control in day time.only after 23-00. There is nothing about db level inside documents, car was exported.

Considering fact that gtr has no sound proof at all, sound is very loud with a lot of crackles once it warms up. Difference is day/night to be honest. However, I wish it would be just a bit more quiet.

Make sure you get 110mm EURO6 standart cats if you decide to go for downpipes.
