PCV system catch can
Greetings... I was wondering what solutions exist for an oil catch can for the m178 engine.
There is a member here who had a custom system made but that member hasn't been active here in close to 4 years and don't anticipate being able to get a hold of him.
Anyone else have anything?

Hi,
Why do you want a catch can? Are you losing oil through the vent?
Remember that the ventilation system consists of several components. In several stages. It's not just an opening on the crankcase anymore.
The system is also relevant for emissions.
Even more feared in the USA than in Europe. :-)
I know MB crankcase ventilation systems where all parts are glued together in the US version. While these are individually interchangeable in the EU version.

The best thing you can do is drive the car far enough to bring the engine oil up to full operating temperature. You have that feature on your left hand steering wheel controls and the read out appears on your dash. Also has the transaxle oil temperature.
