Everyone knows. It is what it is. Modern cars are heavy. MB is embracing the heavy route especially. The discussion is how do we best move on and compensate while increasing fun and engagement.

The SL63e is a 1000 pounds heavier than the GTC roadster.
From the sound of it and the experience of members here the car is very capable and fun to drive despite the weight.

But even great tech can’t overcome physics; it will be difficult to imagine that the new GT will be a track weapon like the old platform was.
That to me is a loss; the GTR/Pro/BS models are really the first AMG’s that could give the 911’s a run for their money.

I am certain the new GT will be a great road car though.

Looks like the 2025 GT 43 is revealed with RWD and 416 hp. So more than the SL 43 and less weight (I am assuming?) than the SL 43 because of no 4MATIC?
