The install was more annoying than the video has shown mainly because of the large styrofoam block that has to be removed to get to the OEM multimedia unit. Also, the center console needed a bit of help with the pry tool to get back into place (the side with the screws). Everything appears to work except for phone calls in Android auto. There is no sound. If the phone is disconnected from the Android auto and the regular bluetooth pairing is used. The COMMANDER interface gets used to place a call, and then the screen switches to the GTA UI. I have emailed GTA Car kits to see what they will suggest.

I reached out the GTA Car kits and they sent me the following directions
"From the Android Auto menu click on the EXIT icon. That will take you to the back end of our module where you will be able to enter Settings.
Go to Settings of our module-> Then go to Factory Mode option, and enter password 0301. In there choose an option to Use Original Bluetooth."
This did the trick for the phone calls in Android Auto.

ditto on the styrofoam block, I ended up cutting it down a bit to make it all fit easier.

I cut the block in half to remove the head unit, then after putting everything back, I removed the back half of the foam block to put the unit in. I laid some insulation under the device so it wouldn't rattle or move.
So far after 1 week, the Carlinklife kit has performed perfectly. I bet the GTA kit and Carlinklife kit are made in the same factory in China.

Great updates folks - thanks for posting. I'm trying to get access to DTS Monaco to program my 2016 e550 which apparently can enable Android Auto as-is. If that works successfully, I'd try the same thing on the GT.
