Question Clarity on Secondary Cats for Facelift GTR

Hi all,

I'm a proud new owner of a 2020 AMG GTR Roadster. This is my third car with the M17x engine and have historically loved the sound of this engine with the secondary cats removed with the benefit of no CEL. I've seen conflicting information on whether or not the US bound facelifted GTR's come with OPF's built into the secondary canisters, and whether the secondaries are therefore monitored by the ECU. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks!

No opf for US and Canadian cars. You will be fine removing secondary cats with no CEL. Changes were made to software (less pops and bangs) and the exhaust valve position to make the facelift cars quieter I’ve been told.

I removed the secondary cats off my 2020 with no issues.
