AMG GT R Fanfare Horn (Alarm / Horn)
New member/new owner here.
Discovered an odd issue with a new-to-me MY18 AMG GT R, today.
The car's horn does not work at all! (will be an issue when registration comes around and general safety).
Additionally, I have the Acoustic Lock Feedback setting "ON" and I do not hear the tone(s) when the doors are locked by the key fob anymore.
New to the car, so haven't needed to honk the horn for any reason, but I believe I recall the "alarm/lock" tone functioning a few days ago...
Troubleshooting:
I hear the relay click when commanded by the steering wheel horn pad and all of the steering wheel buttons work.
I have checked fuses # 13 (7.5A) and # 31 (15A) in the passenger side footwell fuse block - neither are blown.
Edit: also tried the panic button on key fob - lights flash but no sound.
Car sits on the factory tender when not being driven, battery charges and tops off, no issues there (as far as I can tell).
Have not noticed any other electrical issues and car seems to run/drive fine otherwise.
Seems odd that both horns and the alarm horn would fail simultaneously...
What am I missing? Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Remote diagnoses are always difficult to do. :-)
Fuse number 31 is solely responsible for both horns.
The horns are controlled via the relay N10 / 1k0. This is near fuse 31. Do you hear this relay clicking?
If not, check the relais control voltage (test lamp is sufficient)
Or test the relay (apply 12 volts)
If yes, test bypassing the relay. (Possibility: open relay, clean contacts)
or both horns are defective!!! / not plugged in / full of water :-)
If you are not sure (if you are lucky there is an assignment picture printed) take a picture of the relay connections. I can then give you the numbers.
Best regards

Thank you for the response and guidance. I do hear the relay clicking (the one next to fuse 31), but I too wondered if maybe the relay is defective.
I will inspect further per your recommendation and report back.
Thank you!
I checked the fuse (and the entire block) with a 12 V tester. 12 V is present on both sides of fuse 31 (and all others, except the spares, of course).
I could feel and hear the relay click as I pressed the horn pad on the wheel. Removed the relay, contacts were clean and not discolored or corroded. 12 V present on 2 of the 4 pins, as expected. Attempted jumping the 12 V without the relay in place, no luck.
As you suggested, I think the next step is to check the wiring. Perhaps something has broken or become loose. While I’m in there I can apply 12v directly to the horns. So, I guess the front bumper cover will need to come off.
I am getting 12 V at each connector when pressing the horn.
Removed horns, attempted to apply voltage using an external battery, no response from either. Parts on order.
So to answer my own question: what are the odds of both horns going out simultaneously? - it’s possible!
