2017 GTR Replacement Discs
I have the steel brakes (red calipers) and was wondering if anyone knew the part numbers for the discs. For the rears I seem to be getting options at 2 very different price points and I’m not sure what the difference is between them.
The part number I have for the rears is A2314230212 but when search for that I get some that are £300 and others that are £1500 both from Brembo so not sure what the difference is and why there is such a huge difference in price between them.
Your spare part number A231 423 02 12 is incorrect. This is the spare part number for the rear brake discs for code: B06 (AMG GT with silver brake calipers).
You have a GT (S, C, R) with red brake calipers which is code: U70. (yellow is also possible for GTR Code: U69),
Here is the spare part number for the rear brake discs: A222 423 20 12.
The matching brake pad kit have the spare part number: A008 420 11 20.
Best regards,
Stenzel
P.S.
As far as I know, the two rear discs are the same size.
The GT discs B06 are standard one-piece discs. (€ 300.-)
The GT discs U70 are "floating" discs (all steel, not a aluminium cup like the CB) that cost a horrendous price: (€1,100)

A231 423 02 12 - B06 - standard one piece rear discs
A222 423 20 12 - U70 - floating two piece disc but much more expensive.
So the B06 should fit fine but assume they will have more issue with heat maybe?
Do you happen to have the part number for the front discs too?

while rear ones (surprisingly, since they are 30 mm smaller) are much more expensive, 890$ each

The spare part number for the front brake discs for code U70 / U69 is: A230 421 12 12
