I've run into injector issues with my BS with 1283 miles on it. I suspect most of it self-caused due to not running it enough. After the local dealer MB Of Greenway here in Houston (who also clocked me on extending the factory warranty by 30 days...) mis-diagnosed it and replaced the coils (of course after I pre-advised them that the vehicle sat on a charger for a few months and I suspected I gummed the injectors) they replaced 2 of the injectors. My question is has any of you experimented with non-ethanol gas on these vehicles and if so I need to find out how to boost the 88 RON up to 93 with a non-ethanol additive. I'd prefer not to run ethanol in any of my vehicles where possible but need to kick the RON up without ethanol, mtbe, etc (may straight alkyllate if that is even possible).
Thanks all!
Thanks all!

In the non-ethanol part of the country, which is most of it, the experiment occurs on every fillup.
You are in ethanol country.
You are in ethanol country.

True but the blends are garbage and tired of the alcohol collecting water anyhow. No way to find MTBE so if I cant find smaller volumes of alkyllate or reformate will try an STP or Lucas additive to jack the RON above 90. Originally Posted by chassis
