All of them, as much as I can...
![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
My new (to me) CL 600 has the staggered AMG wheels and sport trim package. It also came with an AMG badge on the trunk lid. I always grinned and thought "...wannabee" everytime I'd see a AMG-badged CLK430 when I drive my CLK55 and so now would like to remove this badge from the CL.
First off, I wanted to confirm that no CL600s came with this AMG badge, right?
Secondly, how do I remove this thing without ruining the paint? Heat gun and what solvent?
TIA

I've heard that AMG does build one-off special order cars for people with the means. It's possible that you just bought one of these. If you can find the original invoice, you'll be able to see if anything special was done, or if it's just the "amg sport package" -- if it's the latter no badge.
As for removing it, try dental floss to "saw" the badge off, and then you can just roll the tape off with your finger. Use some of that "orange cleaner" stuff if there's any you can't just rub off.

that is true. AMG does make one-offs,
or in the case of the C32 AMG Sports Coupé: 14-offs.

No, not a one-off...
but as a warning, be careful with the heatgun. I'm so pissed right now, I did get the badge off with a heat gun and by prying off with a plastic tool. However, the heat apparently got to the corner of the trim piece around the reg. plate. I didn't realize it was plastic and disfigured/discolored it slightly. Hardly noticeable but I know it's there! Bummer.

yeh, i debadged my audi with a hairdryer, goo-gone, and dental floss. knowing what i know now i would probably not recommend the goo-gone because it could really hurt the paint, i would compensate with more hair drier use and ask someone more knowledgeable than i about the effects of goo-gone.

I know the thread is kind of old, but it hasn't been mentioned that WD-40 is an excellent "goo" remover that will not harm the paint. We all have it, so use it.
