There is no best. Everyone will chime in saying their miracle wax will remove all swirls, make it shiny, make it darker, create more depth and so forth. each has their own characteristics. I myself enjoy Meguiars NXT for its ease of use, and its not too expensive. Others believe that Zaino is the best and the only way to go. But i personally believe that it is only great because of the high price, just like buying a churro at disneyland, its the greatest because it cost so much. Carnauba waxes give the best appearance but deteriorate... quick. Synthetic lasts the longest but doesn't look as great and the blend is just a mix and you can guess how long it lasts. And there will never be a wax that will last you an entire year with full protection from bird residue and such and will also look as good as your first apply the wax. Wax looks its best after its first placed/removed. Just go with what you think is good and is within your price range. Good ones are Zaino, Meguiars, Natty's Blue, and turtle wax is ok... just don't get those miracle waxes like "Nu Finish" which supposedly lasts forever or something like that.

Zaino looks really "deep" on dark vehicles and has arguably about the best longevity out there. Was using a local detailers product line and decided to try the Meguiar's NXT product line and more than happy with the results so far. It may not last as long as Zaino but the shine is just as good imho.

I read that Meguiar's NXT is a sealant like Zaino. Is that right? Does it look as good and last as long?

I tried basically everything before and can safely say Zaino is worth the hype. Definately worth the $$. Easy to use as well. Here's a pic, two months after I zaino'ed. people who don't know better think my car 5-yr old car is brand new! I can tell the zaino would show even better on darker cars.

If your focusing on wax then you have to consider the P21S carnuba wax or the the motorcycle variant (P100 I think). If you prep your paint prior to waxing, you will get unbelievable depth and shine. It's a full day's worth of work, but sooo worth it. If you use a spray detailer after washes the wax will wear longer also. It's been two months since my last three step and the shine looks as good as day one. I'm a huge believer of glaze -> polish -> wax. Good luck.

thanks Ill try the NXT. Has anyone ever put wax that is used for boats on their car? I talked with a guy and said he used a wax made specifically for boats and his car looked like glass and stayed that way even after rain

I wonder if this is Collinite Wax? I have not tired it, but form what I hear it has incredible durability & looks great. I would not hesitate to try it.

I just did the same on my white SUV. Since it's a polymer based wax, it should last longer than the traditional carnauba wax with its ability to withstand more harsh conditions.

I've read up on the downside on polymer based waxes and noticed they claim it doesn't shine as well as the carnauba, but I beg to differ when I tried the NXT.

big fan of zaino here. The mustang is a 2002, daily driven. Still looks as deep as the day I drove it home and that photo was just a month or so ago. The MB was given the zaino treatment the first week I had it. It's near impossible to give silver depth, but the shine is almost hard to look at in the Texas sun.

I get mine from a friend who owns a detailing business in Houston. He gives me great deals. I would recommend finding out who might be the local distributor in your area. Perhaps you can contact Zaino and find that out. Otherwise, the prices on the website aren't that bad.

Thumbs up Zaino

Staple Gun,
I use Zaino on my C55 and my daily driven 2004 F-150. I would get the 85.00 kit and then pick up a bottle of Z-8 , you will not be dissapointed.

May I just add, that the NXT wax has a great scent to it, which makes waxing less of a hassle with the green apple-like aroma. :p

Look forward to pics Ricky. No expert here but put on another coat of NXT last night and seriously I don't notice the difference between it and Zaino and still a Zaino fan here.It seems to have durability in the sun so far as well. Have now picked up the whole entire line. The car wash does a great job the water just sheets off. The touch up spray wax can be used wet and the detailer leaves gets rid of those annoying water runs that "magically" appear later after you dry/drive the car. I don't like the tire shine as well as their Endurance Gel or Zaino's brand. Don't care for a spray. Be careful to buff off excess and let dry It appears to sling and leave spots on the paint surfaces. After using it for the last month,It does seem to have good durability however.
