Do yourself a favor, and go to this website: http://paintscratch.com. They have the exact paint match for your year, and the paint comes in a felt pen, regular small container, or spray can. I have used them all. Very good products!!

get the paint from the dealership but *do not* use the brush that comes with it. go to a craft store and get one of those ultra fine tip brushes. evenly fill it in with a few thin coats. you don't want to end up with a blob that you will need to wetsand after.

My 2 cents...
paid 15.96 + tax for total of $17.28 for oem touch-up (ridiculous. think I got stroked) from local MB dealer. Color match is perfect. I dont use the brush in the bottle, I use a match riped out of a match book (don,t use the match end!) It works great.

"Touch-up" is a difficult and dangerous process. I have the Paint Scratch product and have tried several times to "fix" my chips and have had to wipe it off quickely, every time, because the "fix" looked much worse than the original chips.

I did the same thing, and that cost sounds like what I paid too. In mine, there was a vial of color AND a vial of clearcoat. Considering that, I thought the price was reasonable.Originally Posted by crhait

p.s. Traded the car before I ever used it, and I gave it to the salesman so he could give it the new owner.

why not try the service dept of the actual manufacturer of which i assume is merc ?
I normally apply a blob over the chip, let it sit over the edges pretty well. Let it sit till the next day then wetsand, polish with a medium/light compound et voila, can't tell any chips even exisited.
hope that helps
