Ok so I wussed out and didn't buy Z

The So Cal show is coming up this weekend, and I didn't order Zaino.

I have about 15 hours I can put in detailing the exterior prior to Sat a.m.

Anyone have any good wax recommendations short of Zaino.

I have some swirls, and containments on the paint.

I do have a Mother's Clay bar, a Orbital Buffer (with old pads),
Mequir's Crystal Series Paint Cleaner, Cleaner Wax, and Caranuba Wax. The results with these products are ok, but they just don't last long enough.

I use the products in that order. When required I use the 3M product.

What do you guys recommend for something that can be maintained at least 2 months with weekly maintenance?

I have been using the Pinnacle system for about a year and am pleased with the results. The carnuba based Soveran Paste is about as good as it gets.

Where would I get this product, I am not familiar with it?

Last night I washed and clay bared the car. I'm just looking for a good wax.

I called the Meguir's toll free tech line, and they direct me to NXT wax from them. It was about $17.00. I did buy it, and tested a small spot. I can't see that the wax makes the paint appear any deeper, just feels smoother.

I'm about to put mucho time into this, so I'd like to get the right one.

I know, I know I know. I'm scratching my head on this one.

Actually, I'm scratching my head as to why I watched your whole video!!!J/K Hot car. Looks great.

I just thought all the steps seemed kinda complicated.

Ohhhhhhh hell.

If youre stuck with what you have, use the claybar first. Followup with the meguiars paint cleaner, then with the polish, and finish with the carnuba wax.

There are 4 main steps that you must do. The first is to claybar. You did this last night. This takes off the above surface contaminants. Next you will need a paint cleaner. This will remove the undersurface dirt and grime. Next you will need to polish this clean paint. Lastly, you will need to protect it with a coat of wax. NXT is good stuff and it works.

I don't understand why people seem to think Zaino's is complicated. It's the easiest product with the best results that I have used in my life. You mix a few drops of ZFX to some Z2 , put it on....wait as long as you want....wipe it off with a cotton towel, no residue,no dust, no streaks...you stand back and your jaw drops....You already washed and clayed it...get the Zaino's...you won't regret it...
