Rusty Nuts

Hey, I'm sure this will get moved, but I thought of a catchy title at least.

As I checked my tire pressure today, I noticed that the lugnuts on my wheels (2000 E430 4matic) are rusty. These are stock wheels. Any advice? I don't like rusty nuts...

BenzE remember your car has 7 year warranty against corrosion on all the car, that should include lug bolts.

Rusty lug nuts

Mine were replaced for free. Now no one laughs at me in the shower at the gym. Here is the service bulletin.

303 40
New version wheel bolts: part numbers 27/00-2 GROUP 40 -

MODELS 220/215/210/208/202/170/140/129, WHEEL BOLTS: New version wheel bolts will be fitted to series production vehicles starting at the end of June 2000. These wheel bolts are the full head type (except steel wheel bolts) and have improved surface protection affording greater resistance to elements as well as to some non-approved (acidic) wheel cleaners. The new bolts are available as replacement parts by the following numbers:
Old Part Number New Part Number
210 401 0270 170 401 0170 (Steel wheel bolts)
170 400 0070 203 401 0170
124 400 0070 203 401 0270
210 400 0070 203 401 0370
140 400 0570 220 401 0270
Please consult EPC for which bolt is correct for your application.
IMPORTANT: It is required to change all wheel bolts as a set, due to the modified surface coating the preload force is slightly greater at the same torque value. If wheel bolts are mixed on a wheel location, the wheel/hub and brake disc can be subject to distortion from uneven preload forces.
